BrayAirDisplay, part of #AviationIreland weekend, takes place Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th July

Ireland’s biggest and most popular aerobatics display, the award-winning Bray Air Display, supported by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), will take place in just one month’s time, on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July 2018. The 13th annual aerobatics display promises to be one of the best yet with a return visit by the Red Arrows who will grace Co. Wicklow skies with feats of aviation perfection on the Sunday of the weekend-long event. Bray Air Display forms part of the IAA’s #AviationIreland weekend that includes Foynes Air Show in Co. Limerick on Saturday 28th July.

Peter Kearney, Chief Executive Designate of the Irish Aviation Authority said, “The IAA has a long history of supporting aviation activities that help promote the aviation industry so we are very happy to support the #AviationIreland weekend.”

While Bray Air Display will kick-off at 3.30pm on the Saturday and 2pm on the Sunday organisers are advising spectators to arrive early for a stress-free journey to Bray. There will be plenty of entertainment before the aviation spectacular gets underway with a host of on-the-ground family fun including a fun fair, live music and a food and craft market, from 12noon each day.

This year’s event features more than 40 aircraft from high-powered jets to more sedate vintage aircraft. The display also involves demonstrations from some of the country’s most critical services – Coastguard Search and Rescue and, new to the event this year, An Garda Síochána helicopter.

The event enjoys more and more public support each year – we’re looking forward to putting on a fantastic weekend’s entertainment at the end of July and welcoming everyone to Bray.”
