The skies over County Wicklow are set to roar to life for the spectacular 2026 Bray Air Display on Saturday, August 1st. While world-class aerobatic pilots perform jaw-dropping manoeuvres overhead, an equally inspiring community effort will take place on the ground.

This year, the Bray Air Display is partnering with the Bray Lions Club for a major joint fundraising initiative. A great community event does not just entertain; it lifts the entire locality. By working with dedicated partners, the event aims to provide vital support to ten highly deserving charities.

The Power of Partnership

As one of Ireland’s premier free family festivals, the Bray Air Display regularly attracts an estimated 40,000 visitors to the seafront. This massive gathering presents an incredible opportunity to make a real, tangible difference.

By joining forces with the Bray Lions Club, the Air Display Committee is turning this immense reach into a force for good. No single organisation can tackle community challenges alone. It is through local partnerships, shared resources, and collective passion that a stronger, more supportive society is built.

Every single cent collected on the day will go directly towards supporting ten vital local charities and community causes.

The Campaign: A “Kilometre of Euro” Challenge

On Saturday, August 1st, visitors are invited to help create a virtual “Kilometre of Euro” along the Bray seafront.

The ambition is to raise approximately €40,000. This target can be achieved if:

  • Every visitor contributes just €1.
  • 20% of visitors donate an average of €5.
  • 10% of visitors donate an average of €10.

100% of every donation goes directly to the participating charities.

How to Donate on the Day

Supporting the fundraiser is simple and efficient. Visitors can look out for the Bray Lions Club volunteers patrolling the seafront in official gear and carrying progress flags.

  • Contactless Tapping: Collectors will be equipped with contactless card machines to accept secure, quick digital donations.
  • Visual Progress: Attendees can watch the progress markers and flags along the beach as the virtual kilometre of coins is built.

The Beneficiary Charities

Every donation will support the following ten vital organisations:

By attending the display and contributing to the virtual kilometre, visitors can help make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of many across County Wicklow and beyond.

Speaking on the partnership, the Bray Air Display Comms Team commented, “The Bray Air Display has always been about bringing people together, and this year, we want to make sure that community spirit leaves a lasting, positive legacy on the ground. We are incredibly proud to partner with the Bray Lions Club to spearhead the ‘Kilometre of Euro’ initiative under our theme: Making Every Euro Fly Further. By uniting our platforms, we want to support ten highly deserving charities that do extraordinary work right here on our doorstep. With the convenience of contactless tapping and the guarantee that 100% of public donations go directly to these frontline causes, we hope our amazing spectators will join us in making a massive difference.”
